What is EFT?
​
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a gentle, calming technique that helps children
manage big feelings in a simple and practical way. EFT is also known as ‘tapping’.
It involves lightly tapping with the fingertips on specific points on the face and upper body
while talking about how they are feeling. These tapping points are linked to the body’s
natural calming system and can help reduce emotional intensity quickly and safely.
EFT is sometimes described as “emotional first aid”, something children can use anytime
they feel overwhelmed.
How Can Children Benefit from EFT?
Children often experience big emotions but don’t always have the words or tools to
manage them.
EFT helps by:

✨ Easing fears and phobias
✨ Supporting better sleep
✨ Building emotional resilience
✨ Improving confidence and self-esteem
Because tapping is physical and interactive, children tend to enjoy it. It gives them

manageable & don’t have to take over.

Rest & Reset – a gentle overnight support for children’s emotional wellbeing

Rest & Reset is a calm, child-centred approach designed to support children while they sleep, when the mind & body are naturally more receptive to rest, processing & emotional balance.
Rather than asking children to talk through big feelings or “fix” difficult behaviours, Rest & Reset works quietly in the background. It helps children gently release the day, settle their nervous system & build a sense of inner calm & safety overnight.
This approach is especially helpful for children who:
• experience big or overwhelming emotions
• struggle with anxiety, worry or overthinking
• find emotional regulation difficult during the day
• become easily overstimulated or emotionally drained
Empowering parents as part of the process
A key part of Rest & Reset is that parents are gently supported & guided to deliver this short therapeutic approach themselves each evening, while their child is sleeping.
Parents don’t need special language, long scripts or clinical knowledge. The focus is on confidence, connection & consistency, allowing parents to feel calm, capable & actively involved in their child’s emotional wellbeing.
